Article 237 (1) of the Constitution designates the Teachers Service Commission as a Constitutional Commission.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is pleased to announce vacancies for the position of Deputy Head Teacher II in Regular Primary Schools.

A total of 1,930 posts are available under T-Scale 9.

Requirements for Appointment:

To be eligible for appointment to this grade, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Have served as Senior Teacher I under T-Scale 8 for a minimum duration of three (3) years.
  2. Possess a satisfactory performance appraisal rating.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to effectively supervise, mentor, and provide professional support to fellow teachers.
  4. Fulfill the requirements stipulated in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
  5. Meet any additional criteria that the Commission may deem necessary.

Note: Candidates who have served in the current grade within Asal (Arid and Semi-Arid land) and Hard-to-Staff counties for a minimum of 2 years are eligible to apply.
