KNEC Makes Changes To KCSE Exam Results Release Date

By | December 21, 2023

The Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) has changed the release date for the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results. This adjustment comes after Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu led the Form One placement exercise at Lenana School, guiding parents in checking their children’s secondary school placements. Kcse results in 2023 release.

Even though the Form One pupils are expected to report on January 15, 2024, some parents are struggling to download the Form One calling letters from the KEMIS system.

Due to issues faced in transmitting KCPE results, the KCSE results won’t be accessible through SMS. Instead, they will be available through the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) portal introduced by CS Machogu. Parents and candidates will need to visit the website, inputting KCSE names and index numbers to get the results.

The marking of the 2023 KCSE exams took place at different centres, including Starehe Girls Centre, Kiambu High School, Machakos Girls, and more. Originally scheduled from November 27 to December 11, 2023, the marking got extended by two days, affecting the planned results release between December 16 and 22, 2023. Consequently, Knec has pushed the release to early next week, as confirmed by CS Machogu during the Form One placement exercise.

Approximately 903,260 candidates sat for this year’s KCSE exams, involving projects from January to July 2023 and oral, practical, and theory papers conducted from October 23 to November 24, 2023. The results are expected to be disclosed on Monday or Tuesday next week. Kcse results in 2023 release.
