Candidates interested in the above positions must submit the following:

Package Details:

GENERAL MANAGER (CORPORATION SECRETARY AND LEGAL SERVICES)

Reporting to the Managing Trustee, the General Manager (Corporation Secretary and Legal Services) will be responsible for providing Company Secretarial services to the Board of Trustees and ensuring the Fund operates within its established legal framework and complies with statutory and other regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advise the Fund on legal matters and monitor compliance with various applicable laws and regulations;
  • Initiate policy, strategy and programs for Legal Services and Ethics  & Integrity functions;
  • Provide timely legal advice to assist the Fund in making informed decisions;
  • Keep safe custody of the seal of the Fund and accounts to the Board for its use
  • Assist the Board in carrying out; Board induction and training, Update the Board, Preparation of Board work plans, Board evaluation, Governance audit, and Implementation of the Code of Conduct and Ethics;
  • Provide Secretarial services to the Board of Trustees, Board Committees and EXCOM;
  • Ensure that the Fund operates within its established legal framework and complies with statutory and other regulatory requirements by undertaking periodic legal audit compliance;
  • Co-ordinate and ensure representation of the Fund in courts or/or quasi-judicial institutions including dispute resolution forums;
  • Oversee the debt recovery process and selection of external counsel for litigation and conveyancing;
  • Coordinate all legal matters in liaison with the State Law Office, Government Ministries and agencies, external counsel and third parties;
  • Develop and review security documentation, leases, service level agreements, contracts, and all legal instruments that relate to the Fund;
  • Provide advisory services on the implementation/management of the legal recovery processes in accordance with legal instruments entered into;
  • Ensure that Intellectual Property Rights are registered and secure;

  • Prepare the annual calendar of Board/Board Committee/EXCOM meetings;
  • Ensure proper execution of contracts by authorized signatories;

GENERAL MANAGER (HUMAN RESOURCES &ADMINISTRATION)

Reporting to the Managing Trustee, the General Manager(Human Resources and Administration) will be responsible for managing the Human Resource, Administration and Security functions of the Fund. He/she will to provide strategic direction and policy advise on all matters relating to Human Resource, Administration and Security. He/she will be responsible of fostering a positive work environment that will enable the employees full potential be realized.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and ensure implementation of leading Human Resources, Administration and Security strategies and policies in line with Fund’score values and Kenyan Labour laws;
  • Set divisional goals and provide necessary direction to managers within own purview based on the Fund’s aspirations;
  • Ensure continuous review and assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of the Fund’s HR policies, procedures and processes and identifying improvement opportunities;

NSSF Social Security General Manager Jobs Application Requirements, Qualifications

Reporting to the Managing Trustee, the General Manager (Social Security) will be expected to provide strategic direction and policy guidance on all matters relating to Social Security. He/She will oversee the operations of the Registration & Compliance, Benefits, Member Records and Marketing & Customer Experience functions of the Fund ensuring the availability of required knowledge, skills and tools within the departments so that assigned managers are able to deliver on their roles by developing and managing the Human and other resources effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and ensure implementation of leading social security administration strategies that will drive up member registration and improve collections;
  • Provide input into development of the Fund’s strategy, including any action plans and budgets;
  • Set departmental goals and providing necessary direction within the Division;
  • Keep abreast of local and global leading practices and trends and making recommendations to the Managing Trustee/CEO and departmental heads on how this impacts the Fund;

NSSF Strategy and Research General Manager Jobs Application Requirements, Qualifications

Will be reporting to the Managing Trustee, the General Manager (Strategy, Research, and Risk) will be responsible for driving the process of articulating the Fund’s strategy, coordinating business research, Innovation, monitoring and evaluating programs of the Fund, ensuring quality management and risk management. He/She will oversee and coordinate the operations of the Strategy & Change, Research & Development and Risk Management functions of the Fund to ensure strategic alignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement the Fund’s overall strategic plan, which includes defining the mission, vision and long-term objectives;
  • Develop an inclusive and robust strategy formulation and planning process; to guide the Fund in the strategy articulation process;
  • Direct the process of cascading corporate strategy into functional strategies, objectives and priorities, including relevant targets;
