Uzima University Medical School
Uzima University College was founded by the Archdiocese of Kisumu as a constituent college of the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA). The main motive behind the establishment of Uzima University College is the provision of medical education and research expertise for the Great Lakes Region in both quantitative and qualitative terms.
While the major challenge for the region is the prevalence of tropical diseases, it is a unique opportunity to invest in the education of medical expertise by creating well-trained and integrated medical staff, providing a timely and relevant response to preventive measures. Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine.
Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine (Upgrading).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Upgrading).
Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.
Bachelor of Science in Microbiology (Upgrading).
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBCHB)
Uzima University Medical School Admission Requirement
Mean grade B in KCSE,B plain in Biology,Chemistry,English/Kiswahili,Mathematics/Physics.
At least KCSE mean grade of C+ and C+ in the following cluster subjects,English/Kiswahili,Mathematics/Physics,Chemistry,Biology.
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution and must be registered by the Clinical Officers Council (COC).
At least KCSE mean grade of C+ and C+ in the following cluster subjects,English/Kiswahili,Mathematics/Physics,Chemistry,Biology.
Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution and must be registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
At least KCSE mean grade of C+ and C Plain in the following cluster subjects,English/Kiswahili,Mathematics/Physics,Chemistry,C + in Biology.
Holders of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Technology from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board.
Holders of a higher Diploma in medical Laboratory or related field.
