SUBMISSION OF STUDENTS’ COUNCIL AND CAMPUS TEAM NAMES AND SYMBOLS
The Commission, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 11 and 13 of the University of Nairobi Rules and Regulations Governing Students Elections, 2017, hereby directs that all aspiring candidates and teams for the Students’ Council and Campus Students Association 2020 elective positions submit the name(s) and symbol(s) of their teams in soft copy to unsa2020elections@uonbi.ac.ke on or before Monday March 9, 2020, 5.00pm.
Aspiring teams are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
i. Symbols must be in jpeg format only
ii. The symbol and name should not be:
· Obscene or offensive
· Contrary to public morals and order
· Similar to a registered political party
iii. Name of the team should be separate from the logo
iv. Avoid the name comrade
v. Avoid clenched fist
All teams are also requested to give a name, email address and telephone number(s) of a contact person for purposes of communication with the Commission.
NOTE that the deadline for submission of team name(s) and symbol(s) shall not be extended. Late submissions shall lead to automatic disqualification from participation in the electoral process.
