Required entrance qualifications and grades:
a) KCSE minimum mean aggregate of B plain
b) GCE A – Level minimum grades ABB with A in English Language or English Literature.
c) IB minimum 34 overall points with grade 5 and above in English.
Proof of above-mentioned qualifications and grades should be sent in the form of scanned copies of the KCSE or KACE certificates.
If a prospective student complies with the required entrance qualifications and grades, such students will be required to write an entrance exam. There is a non-refundable entrance examination fee of KES 2000 payable on the day of the exam.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All candidates shall be required to sit and pass a special entrance examination set by SLS and an oral interview.
On the day of the Entrance Examination applicants should:
- Arrive at the University at 8.00am
- Bring three passport size photographs
- The original and a copy of their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination results and of their School Leaving Certificate
- Candidates should bring a copy of their Birth Certificate/National ID card/Passport
- Any other relevant certificates
- Entrance examination fee – Kshs 2000
ENTRANCE EXAMS
The Law entrance exams will be administered as follows:
Venue: Strathmore Law School (Strathmore University, Madaraka Campus)
Dates: Every Wednesday between March and June.
Time: 8.00am. The entrance exam starts punctually.
INTERVIEWS
The interviews will be conducted in alphabetic order immediately after the candidate has sat for the entrance exam.
Strathmore University School of Law Courses Fee
The LLB degree (4 years, full time basis) costs Ks. 220,000 per semester.
It may be paid –
a) in full upon registration,
b) yearly in advance (Kshs. 440,000/=), or
c) per semester (Kshs. 220,000).
SCHOLARSHIPS
There are various scholarships available for top and needy students, who have scored an average “A” in the KCSE.
SLS has also identified possible sources of funding for students seeking resources to finance their undergraduate education. The sources can help pay for tuition and fees, books and supplies, and living expenses. Since SLS has limited resources to provide scholarships to the many students who deserve, it tries to assist students get alternative sources of resources to finance their education. Our ideal is that no deserving student should fail to get a place in SLS owing to lack of financial means.
