All Heads of Primary schools have been called in for the Annual Delegates Conference (ADC) that is scheduled to take place on the 17th of October 2021.

The invitation letter is addressed to all headteachers of primary schools.

The National Chairperson for Kenya Primary Schools Headteachers Association (KEPSHA), Johnson Nzioka said that the conference will be on the 2nd of October and end on the 8th of October 2021.

According to the KEPSHA chairperson, this year’s ADC will be held at the Sheikh Zayed Children Welfare Centre in Mombasa, as usual.

The theme for this year’s ADC is ‘Access to Learning During Post COVID-19 Pandemic’. The theme is expected to address the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought in the education fraternity as well as the available opportunities for learners and teachers.

The Headteachers are required to pay an amount of Sh. 46,000 to facilitate their involvement in the ADC. Out of the Sh. 46,000, six thousand (6,000) will be allocated to the respective Sub-County Chairpersons as Conference fees.

“To facilitate your participation you need Sh. 46,000 out of which 6,000 should be remitted to the respective Sub-County Chairpersons as Conference fee. The deadline for making the payment is 15th September 2021,” said Johnson Nzioka.

Those KEPSHA officials who will be affected by the delocalization have been allowed to stay where they are until the National Office gives advice on the contrary.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has been calling for teachers to get vaccinated. The KEPSHA chairperson has also been calling for the same especially the aged teachers in a proposed released a few months ago.

“KEPSHA has lost members to COVID-19 that has kept ravaging the education and the country at large with a massive and unprecedented impact on families,” said the KEPSHA chair.

TSC is also set to be part of the ADC having given directives to teachers to get the COVID-19 jabs or risk getting punished for flouting the directive.

Unspecified action will be subjected to teachers who will not have been vaccinated by the 23rd of August, 2021.
