Namachanja High School’s KCSE 2023-2024 Results and Grades Distribution.
Namachanja High School in Bungoma South Sub-County in Bungoma County has posted excellent results in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Examination released, on Monday, by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
CS Machogu while speaking at Moi Girls High School in Uasin Gishu County, said that a total of 903,260 candidates were registered to sit for the National exam.
Speaking to the press at the School premises, the Deputy Principal Administration. Humphrey Musuya, commended the parents, teachers, and the support staff for the overwhelming support that has led to the school excelling in the National exams.
Musuya noted that the first candidate at the school, Ian Makali, got an A plain of 82 points.
He, however, said that the school being a day school, students experience challenges as it calls for extra vigilance and proper coordination amongst teachers, parents, students, community, leaders, and the support staff.
The Deputy Principal also stated that the current capitation to schools by the Central Government is inadequate, urging the government to increase the same for the smooth running of day schools.
Ian Makali attributed his success to hard work, determination, and prayer.
The top scorer said that he wishes to join Moi University and pursue a doctorate course.
“This achievement has not come easy. It is about hard work, determination and prayer, I thank my teachers and parents for their support,” he said.
Other schools that have performed well, are Bungoma Friends School Kamusinga (FSK), which had a total entry of 463 candidates and St Mary’s Kibabii High School.
At Friends’ School Kamusinga. the scores were as follows, A plain 30, A- minus, 89. B+ plus 120, B plain 80, B- minus 84, C plus 47, C plain 11, C- minus 2.
