Kenya Highlands Evangelical University is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following positions:
COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Positions of Tutorial Fellow (3 posts) in the following areas:
i. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must:
a) Be a committed Christian
b) Be substantively registered for a PhD degree in Information Technology and has made substantive progress. (Provide a progress report document)
c) Be holders of a Master’s degree in Information Technology from a recognized University
d) Have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from a recognized University.
e) Have at least 3 years University teaching experience
f) Have at least 2 publications in refereed journals or a chapter in a book.
g) Have a Certificate of good conduct.
ii. COMPUTER SCIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must:
a) Be a committed Christian
b) Be substantively registered for a PhD degree in Computer Science and has made substantive progress. (Provide a progress report document)
c) Be holders of a Master’s degree in Computer Science from a recognized University
d) Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a recognized University.
e) Have at least 3 years University teaching experience
f) Have at least 2 publications in refereed journals or a chapter in a book.
g) Have a Certificate of good conduct.
iii. BUSINESS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must:
a) Be a committed Christian
b) Be substantively registered for a PhD degree in Business and Information Technology and has made substantive progress. (Provide a progress report document)
c) Be holders of a Master’s degree in Business and Information Technology or Business information systems from a recognized University
d) Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Information Technology from a recognized University.
e) Have at least 3 years University teaching experience
f) Have at least 2 publications in refereed journals or a chapter in a book.
g) Have a Certificate of good conduct. 
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Positions of SENIOR LECTURER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer must be holders of the following qualifications, relevant work experience and publications as indicated below:-
a) Be a committed Christian
b) Must have an earned PhD in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited or recognized University and must have studied the same at undergraduate and Master’s level;
c) At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer or six(6)years post qualification research or industry experience;
d) Have supervised a minimum of three (4) post- graduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;
e) Be registered with relevant professional body;
f) Should submit evidence of research publications done as a Lecturer;
g) Demonstrate experience in Curriculum Development; and
h) Demonstrate Academic Leadership experience;
i) Understanding of regulatory requirements from the Commission of University Education, relevant examination bodies and professional bodies;
j) Have attended or contributed at learned conferences, seminars or workshops;
k) Have a Certificate of good conduct.
EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Position of SENIOR LECTURER, EDUCATION ARTS
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer must be holders of the following qualifications, relevant work experience and publications as indicated below:-
a) Be a committed Christian
b) Must have an earned PhD in Education Arts (Kiswahili, Geography, Language & Linguistics) from an accredited or recognized University and must have studied the same at undergraduate and Master’s level;
c) At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer or six(6)years post qualification research or industry experience;

c) Be holders of a Master’s degree in Education Arts (Kiswahili, Geography, Language & Linguistics) from a recognized University.
d) Have a Bachelor’s degree in Education Arts (Kiswahili, Geography, Language & Linguistics) from a recognized University.
e) Have at least 3 years University teaching experience
f) Have at least 2 publications in refereed journals or a chapter in a book.
g) Have a Certificate of good conduct.
LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

Positions of Tutorial Fellow (2 posts) in the following areas:
i. INFORMATION SCIENCE (IT)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must:
a) Be a committed Christian
b) Be substantively registered for a PhD degree in Information Science or Information Technology and has made substantive progress. (Provide a progress report document)
c) Be holders of a Master’s degree in MSc- IT or MPhil Information Science (IT) or MIS from a recognized University
d) Have a BSc Information Science or BLIS (Option – IT) from a recognized University.
e) Have at least 3 years University teaching experience
f) Have at least 2 publications in refereed journals or a chapter in a book.
g) Have a Certificate of good conduct.
ii. RECORDS MANAGEMENT
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must:
a) Be a committed Christian
b) Be substantively registered for a PhD in Records Management and has made substantive progress. (Provide a progress report document)
c) Be holders of a Master’s degree in Records management from a recognized University
d) Have a BSc Information Science or BLIS (Option- Records Management) or Bachelors in Records and Archives Management from a recognized University.
e) Have at least 3 years University teaching experience
f) Have at least 2 publications in refereed journals or a chapter in a book.
g) Have a Certificate of good conduct.
