KCPE 2023 Exams Results Statistics

This year’s results will be the last of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) Examination, under the 8-4-4 system. 39 cohorts have sat these exams since inception in 1985, with two major reviews being made on the assessment tests used.

According to CS Machogu, Only two candidates were involved in examination malpractice. One was found with unauthorised notes while the other was found with a mobile phone.

Individual examination results can be accessed immediately after the release by sending the candidate’s Index number followed by the initials ‘KCPE’ to SMS code 40054.

The highest score this year was 428 marks. CS Machogu.

English, English Composition, and Kenyan sign language all recorded significant improvement compared to KCPE 2022 – with female candidates performing better in these than their male counterparts. The remaining subjects recorded a slight decline in performance. CS Machogu

Students who missed the November 2023 Examinations will have an opportunity to sit a special examination in January 2024: Education CS Ezekiel Machogu

Education PS. Belio Kipsang congratulates Vihiga County Education team led by the County Director of Education, Mr David Koech, for best adherence to the registration guidelines for the 2023 KCPE examination. Vihiga County had no case of late registration.
