Following the official release of the 2024 form one selection results on Monday, December 18, 2023, by CS Machogu, we have compiled a list of the Top 10 most popular schools among KCPE 2023 candidates in Kenya.

See the full list of the most preferred secondary schools by KCPE learners in 2024 from one selectionKabianga Boys High takes insurmountable pride in receiving the highest requests for form one placement in 2023, 186, 357, against a capacity of 768 learners. It was trailed by Nanyuki High School with 158,741 form-one placement requests. The school can only accommodate 576 learners. Clinching the top 10 most selected schools in form one selection in December 2023 is Alliance High School with 110,839 applications versus a declared capacity of 768 students that the school can host.

These schools keep on getting the highest number of applications owing to the excellent ambiance, tranquility, vast resources, and stable and well-horned teachers.

Besides, the schools attract a huge following in spite of turning down applications from scores of KCPE candidates annually.

The top 10 most popular secondary schools in form one selection post impressive mean scores during KCSE Knec results.

CS Machogu noted that the form one placement to these and all the other schools is computerized.

“I wish to announce that this year’s Form One selection was fully computerized from National to sub-county levels,” Machogu reiterated.

Form One Placement Results, Instant Access

Candidates, parents, and institutions can access instant results of the placement via SMS once the CS officially concludes the unveiling.

To access via text send a message in the format (Index No) to 22263. The service attracts charges depending on the mobile service provider.

Information on placement is also available on the Ministry of Education portal www(dot)education(dot)go(dot)Ke and click the ‘Form One Placements’ icon.

“For any queries, check on the ‘frequently asked questions (FAQ) section. Assistance may be obtained by writing an email to placement(at)education(dot)go(dot)ke,” Machogu announced.

Schools can access their combined list of students placed to their list on the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS).

According to the CS, candidates who secured more than 400 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) were admitted to national and extra-county schools of choice.

The Education Boss noted that parents who are dissatisfied with the schools their children were placed in can make arrangements with their schools of choice.

Special candidates were placed in schools of their preference and their disability based on merit and choice.

Candidates from slum areas benefitted from affirmative action as 270 of the areas were placed into their dream schools. This is in line with the government’s bid to achieve parity in education.

All form one students are expected to report in schools from Monday, February 6, 2023.
