Ezekiel Machogu, Cabinet Secretary for Education, will release the 2024 Form One placement results on Monday, December 18.

Teachers Updates obtained a notice stating that Lenana School in Nairobi will announce the results.

The notice, dated December 15, 2023, also states that the CS will have a meeting with regional and county education directors at the same location.

“The meeting’s agenda will be the implementation of education programs at field offices and schools across the country,” says Dr Elyas Abdi, Director General of the State Department of Basic Education.

This year, 1,406,557 candidates took the KCPE exam.

Last month, when the KCPE results were released, CS Machogu reported that 0.60 per cent of this year’s class, equivalent to 8,525 candidates, achieved scores exceeding 400 marks.

Additionally, 24.92 per cent of the cohort, totalling 352,782 candidates, received scores ranging between 300 and 399 marks, as stated by the CS.

At the same time, the 200-299 bracket had the most candidates (658,278), accounting for 48.49% of all candidates, while 38,3025 others scored between 100 and 199 marks, accounting for 27.05% of all candidates.

There were 2,060 with less than 99 marks, accounting for 0.15 per cent of the total.
