Parents and 2021 candidates can now breath a sigh of relief after Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha assured Kenyans that KCPE and KCSE exams will be marked fairly.

While speaking Murangá County yesterday the CS noted that the loaded 2022 exam calendar will remain as scheduled.

Professor Magoha further noted that preparation for the national exams slated for the months of March and April are in top gear and that marking will take into consideration the constricted academic timelines.

The 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) that would have taken place late last year will be conducted in months of March and April that will taken by current candidates in class eight and form four respectively.

In May, national assessments for the first CBC class (Grade Six) under the Competency-Based Curriculum will be carried out nationally as well.

The CS also revealed that the second cohort of CBC will undertake Grade Six assessment simultaneously with 2022 KCPE candidates and 2022 form four (KCSE) candidates between October and December.
