Following the revision of the term dates by the Ministry of Education for the academic year 2020, in the circular dated 12th February 2020, the KCPE examinations dates were also affected. The current exam dates are given from 26th to 29th October 2020. This also led to the early release of the KCPE examination timetable

KCPE registration

Headteachers of schools are supposed to ensure all their students are properly registered. This involves uploading the list of candidates, signatures, as well as stamping on the space provided. The goal is to indicate all the crucial details required in the nominal roll after verification. This process is done online.

Those who wish to register as private candidates are expected to register with the Sub County Education offices and then upload their photographs online. No hard copies of photographs should be submitted to KNEC. All candidates registering for examinations in prisons must have individual passport size photographs uploaded. On the same note, it is advisable for anyone who wishes to sit for the KCPE exams to register within the stipulated timeline. Failure to meet deadlines would mean waiting for the next year.
