WHO WE ARE
We are a subsidiary of Liberty Kenya Holdings Plc which is listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. Liberty Kenya Holdings Plc is also the holding company for Liberty Life Assurance Kenya Ltd, the long term businesses of the group. It is a subsidiary of Liberty Holdings Limited, a leading financial services group with a representation in 25 countries across the African continent. Liberty Holdings Limited is majority owned by Standard Bank Group Limited which is the largest African banking group by assets.
OUR PRODUCTS
INDIVIDUAL
Domestic Package
This is a package cover designed specially for your residence.
It is arranged to cater for almost everything you have worked hard for in your household including:
- The buildings,
- The contents (furniture, clothing, kitchen equipment cutlery etc)
- The electronics (TVs, Videos, Cameras, Watches, Music systems etc)
- Domestic servants (in door and out door)
- Sports equipment (Golf, squash, riding etc)
- Pets ( See Annex below on detailed description on Pet insurance)
Motor Insurance
Covers are available for the following categories of vehicles;
PRIVATE CARS
These will include Saloons, Station wagons, Estates, and the large Four Wheel Drives (4X4). The key aspect of these vehicles is that they must be used for social, domestic and pleasure purposes only.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
These will range from small half ton pick ups to the large monster trucks on the roads.
They will also include:
- Vans and company/school buses.
- The key aspect here is that the vehicles must only be used for the insured business only and will exclude all usage for hire or reward e.g. taxis, matatus and any general carriage of goods for reward.
- Carriage of passengers is usually excluded in this class but can be bought back at a modest fee.
MOTOR CYCLES
Used for the insured’ business only
OTHER VEHICLES
These will include agricultural type vehicles of tractors, combine harvesters, construction vehicles of graders and shovels, to emergency response vehicles of ambulances, fire tenders etc.
Personal Accident
The Personal accident cover provides compensation to the insured for physical and visible body injury caused in an accident. It goes on further to cover individuals if the injury as a sole cause results in death or disablement.
Travel Insurance
The increase in international travel has meant that risks associated with it have grown. This coupled with the high cost of medical care abroad has made travel insurance vital for any traveller.
BUSINESS
Group Personal Accident
The Personal accident cover provides compensation to the insured for physical and visible body injury caused in an accident. It goes on further to cover individuals if the injury as a sole cause results in death or disablement.
Medical Insurance
This product provides customers with the flexibility to design their medical scheme benefits to suit their needs. The area of cover is East Africa with residence in Kenya. The product is administered either on per person (not shared) or per family basis (shared).The product offers clients the ability to pick and mix benefit blocks so as to provide health insurance solutions that meet their requirements .
Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) Protection
Our Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) Protection provides for compensation to employees for work related injuries and diseases contracted in the course of their employment.
