Our client, a leading steel fabrication firm operating across Africa specializing in the design, fabrication and erection of all types of structural steel works is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for financial oversight, cost optimization, forecasting, planning and analysis. He/ she Must be ACCA accredited and Punjabi/Gujarati or Hindu speaking. Candidates engineering background will have a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and forecast projects budgets, Annual Budget and interim forecast updates
- Prepare Monthly Rolling Net Sales Forecasts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts
- Prepare payroll on monthly basis
- Ensure tax and statutory deductions are paid on time
- Advise management on financial security, accounting controls and recommend policies
- Advise management on cost cutting procedures and measures
- Document and post financial transactions by entering account information
- Analyse accounting options and recommend financial actions
- Handle account receivables and payables
- Handle account reconciliations
- Monitor report, and correct accounting discrepancies
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping financial information confidential
- Implement recommendations raised by auditors
Qualification:
- Must be a CPAK finalist and ACCA member
- Must be Gujarati/Punjabi/ Hindu speaking
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
- High levels of energy, discipline and integrity
- Must be Proficient with QuickBooks & Excel
- Willing to work on Saturdays
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
