Our client, a reputable private hospital in Kenya, is looking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day effective delivery of safe, high-quality patient services across the hospital including the achievement of all performance standards. He or she will oversee the overall performance of the Company. The ideal candidate Must have Operation experience in the Healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the hospital operations in accordance with established policies.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the Hospital and managing the day-to-day operations of the Company.
  • Preparation of a 3-year strategic plan for the Hospital.
  • Preparation of the annual budget and KPIs in line with the 5-year strategic plan.
  • Development of clear financial, operational, and quality goals for the Hospital.
  • Oversees the deployment of and adherence to standardized policies, systems & procedures across the Company.
  • Ensure structures and systems for the development, review and recommendation of new revenue lines or growth of existing revenue lines.
  • Establish an organizational structure to ensure accountability of all countries/departments and staff for fulfilling the mission, objectives, and strategic plan of the Company.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of clinician engagement management. Establishes and maintains communication with all medical staff to ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Develop a pipeline of best-in-class human capital by supporting hiring, retaining key personnel and training and development of key personnel.
  • Establish best-in-class process to ensure adherence to quality systems and comply with quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Chief Executive Officer or relevant role in a well-established hospital.
  • A minimum of a Masters’ degree.
  • A track record of delivering exception top and bottom-line growth and generating positive operational cashflows.
  • Demonstration of critical competencies in four broad categories: commitment to results, business savvy, leading change, and motivating.
  • Strong background in finance.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Outstanding team motivations skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
