Sokoine University of Agriculture Admission for 2020-2021 Academic Year

All applications are processed through an Online Admission System which can be accessed at http://www.suasis.sua.ac.tz/index.php/registration. All application procedures are available from the online system website. The link is also available through the SUA website at https://www.sua.ac.tz. All applicants (direct and equivalent qualifications) will have to apply through the SUA-OAS. All requisite information and guidelines to take the applicant through the application stages are provided from the respective Instructions tab. ie.  UNDERGRADUATE  tab  for those applying for Certificates, diplomas and  bachelor degrees and POSTGRADUATE tab for those applying for postgraduate-diplomas, masters and PhD 

Candidates for Postgraduate Diploma, Master and PhD Degree programmes with course work are admitted once every year for an academic year that starts in October of each year. Candidates for PhD by research only and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) may apply and be admitted at anytime of the year. 

How to Apply

Candidates can apply for admission into SUA degree programmes through either of the two options:

Application Form

(a) Application forms can be downloaded from our website:
http://www.sua.ac.tz/postgraduate-application-forms. Application forms can also be requested from the Director’s Office through drpgs@sua.ac.tz or postgraduate.students@sua.ac.tz. Such dully-filled forms can be returned physically or mailed to the undersigned

Application Fees

together with evidence of payment of Tanzanian Shillings TZS 50,000/= or US$ 20 for international students as application fee (normal application ) or TZS 80,000/= or US$50 for international students (for all late applications ). Payments should be made through A/C NO. 0150076769860 CRDB Bank: Swift Code No CORUTZTZXXX.

(b) Online application through http://suasis.sua.ac.tz:9092/index.php/welcome. Make sure that all relevant academic and financial documents are attached before final submission is made. 

Registration Process

  1. First time applicants are applicants that have not used this system before and have no accounts to enable them to login to the system using their username and passwords. These applicants are required to get registered first.
  2. Existing applicants are applicants who have completed Registration in this system before and were able to create accounts to enable them to login to the system using their username and password. These applicants can login to the system anytime. Existing applicants are applicants who have completed Registration in this system before and were able to create accounts to enable them to login to the system using their username and passwords. These applicants can login to the system anytime.
  3. NECTA FORM Four Index Number should be in the format: S0XXX/XXXX/YYYY or P0XXX/XXXX/YYYY.
    Example: S0750.0023 or P0750.0023.
  4. Applicant will be able to Login after completing Registration.
  5. Registration enables applicant to create account in this system and obtain Username and Password.
  6. Registration should only be done once. After completion, applicant should only Login using obtained username and password.
  7. Username will be applicant’s NECTA FORM Four Index Number followed by a year of completion, e.g.: S0XXX/XXXX/YYYY or P0XXX/XXXX/YYYY
    Example: S0751/0023/2016 or P0751/0023/2016.
  8. When logged in applicant will be able to make application fee payment and complete the application.
  9. Online application will only be visible for filling once application fee is paid.
  10. In order to successfully complete the application; applicant is required to complete all steps from Home to Submit your application.
