DeKUT Postgraduate Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education Programme is designed for you.
Aims of the programme.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education (PGD-TVE) programme aims at providing prospective
trainers with pedagogical skills and strategies that will enable them to train using Competency-Based Education and
Training (CBET) approaches.
In addition, the programme will equip the student-trainers with competencies in TVET education management, planning, administration and financing; TVET Education Foundations, Educational Psychology, and TVET curriculum
development and instruction. Successful completion of the programme will empower the student-trainer to embrace
professionalism.
Target Client
If you have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and/or Bachelor of Technology degree, you are eligible to join
the programme.
Duration
Three semesters (one-year) programme.
Mode of Delivery
The trainees will have a virtual and inperson learning experience. Media and micro-teaching practices, formative and
summative assessment tests shall be undertaken in-person at the University.
