Is eloping a real marriage?
In short – YES, eloping is legal. But, it’s also not always that easy. An elopement is totally recognized as legal as long as you’re abiding by the rules and regulations of the state or country you’re choosing to get married in.
Is eloping disrespectful?
And that’s totally okay! Sometimes, families quickly jump to the conclusion that a decision to elope is your way of saying you don’t care enough to have them there on your wedding day. But the majority of the time, for couples who are close to their families, this isn’t the case.
