No Registration fees for All KCSE, KCPE Candidates to Take KNEC Exams

The government has announced that registration for KCSE and KCPE examinations will be free for all candidates. While presenting the 2020-2021 financial year national budget on June 11, 2020 Treasury CS Ukur Yatani said the government had allocated Sh4 billion for examination fee waiver for all class eight and form four candidates.

Currently, the government of Kenya pays examination fees for all candidates in public and private schools except: candidates who are re-sitting/repeaters, Non-citizens candidates; Candidates in Prison and Private candidates registering in the Sub County private examination centres.
