Dear Admission Applicants for 2020/21 Academic Year, the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology wishes to inform that the invitation of admission applications

This article contains information on the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, NMAIST Application form and Requirements for admission into Postgraduate programmes for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON SCHOOL LEAVERS and SPECIAL CASES.

NELSON MANDELA AFRICAN INSTITUTION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS

All applications are processed through an Online Admission System which can be accessed at http://oas.nm-aist.ac.tz:8080/noas/. All application procedures are available from the online system website.  All applicants (direct and equivalent qualifications) will have to apply through the MU-OAS. All requisite information and guidelines to take the applicant through the application stages are provided from the respective Instructions tab. ie.  UNDERGRADUATE  tab  for those applying for Certificates, diplomas and  bachelor degrees and POSTGRADUATE tab for those applying for postgraduate-diplomas, masters and PhD .

Instructions on how to apply for various programmes at NMAIST through NMAIST OAS (oas.nm-aist.ac.tz:8080/noas/)

A. Before you start your Application

  1. Make sure you have a Valid Email Address and Phone Number ( They will be used for issuing feedback on your application status when the admission selection is complete)
  2. Access the link for Online Application and Admission Portal (oas.nm-aist.ac.tz:8080/noas/ provided through ‘ Admission’ button on Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology Official Website)

B. Registration:

  1. New Applicants – Go to “Online Admission” tab then click on “New applicant click to register”. You Must Register by Creating a User Account (You should Type a User name, A valid email address and a an easy to remember Password then Press a CREATE ACCOUNT Button). You will receive a message “Please check your email to complete the registration process.”
  2. Go to your email and activate the account you created by clicking on the link you received from the Application Portal which reads. “To activate this account, please click the following link”. You will receive a feedback message “Your Account is now activated”.
  3. Click of a Login Link here you will be redirected to the Admission Login Page “ Sign in to your Account” You will be required to enter/write ‘ your ‘ User Name’ and ‘ Password’ then click on ‘ SIGN IN’
  4. Select ‘Entry Mode’ and such as ‘Direct’ and ‘Equivalent’. Specify the Country you attended your A-Level /O-Level, the click “ SAVE AND CONTINUE”

All applications MUST be submitted before the end of 30th October, 2020 for students intending to commence studies in the subsequent academic year. However, applications for Master’s and PhD by Research and Thesis programmes may be submitted throughout the academic year.
