Neema Lutheran Teacher Training College- HISTORY
Neema Lutheran College was established in 1977 as Matongo Lutheran Theological College. In 1994, a teachers training college under the name Matongo Lutheran Teachers Training College was established.The two colleges were later merged to form Neema Lutheran College. Where as the theological section has offered courses at different levels of theology, the teachers college section offers causes in education at different levels. At present the highest program in Bachelor of Theology offered in collaboration with Daystar University

The Diploma in Diakonia course is a 3 year programme for training deaconesses for service in the church. Deaconesses minister by service of combining spiritual care and social care.For those who already hold a Certificate in Diakonia, the program is shortened based on credit exemptions application and may be a short as 36 credit hours offered in 2 semesters of 15 weeks each(one academic year)
