Moshi Co-operative University Admission For 2020-2021 Academic Year

Applications for admission are invited from qualified individuals (Tanzanians and nonTanzanians) wishing to pursue various Certificate and Diploma programmes offered by the Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) for the 2020/2021 academic year.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES – One Academic Year 1. Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CAF) 2. Certificate in Management and Accounting (CMA) 3. Certificate in Microfinance Management (CMF) 4. Certificate in Enterprise Development (CED) 5. Certificate in Information Technology (CIT) 6. Certificate in Human Resource Management (CHRM) 7. Certificate in Library Sciences (CLIS) 8. Certificate in Coffee Quality and Trade (CQT) Admission Requirements Form IV certificate holders with FOUR PASSES in Mathematics, Bookkeeping, Commerce, Physics, Geography, Chemistry, History, English Language, Kiswahili, Biology, Textile Technology, Agricultural Science and Nutrition.

DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES –Two Academic Years 1. Diploma in Co-operative Management and Accounting (DCMA)** 2. Diploma in Microfinance Management (DMFM)** 3. Diploma in Enterprise Management (DEMA) 4. Diploma in Library and Archival Studies (DLAS) 5. Diploma in Business Information and Communication Technology (DBICT)

Admission Requirement

Admission Requirements Form VI leavers with at least one pass in any of the following subjects: Economics, Accountancy, Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, Geography and History / Biology / Chemistry / Kiswahili / English/ Agriculture / Nutrition OR holders of relevant one year or more certificate qualifications from any accredited academic institution or Examining Board. Admissions Procedures

  • Applicants applying through the direct or indirect entry schemes after having completed Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education are required to apply through the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) Central Admission System (CAS). For further information about the CAS applicants can visit TCU website www.tcu.go.tz. Other applicants for admission into all study programmes are made the application? by using an application form which can be obtained from University upon payment of a prescribed fee, which currently is TShs. 30,000 or US$ 30.The application forms can also be obtained from Kizumbi Teaching Centre, regional offices or can be downloaded from the University website (http://www.mocu.ac.tz).

For those who qualify and are selected

  • Payment of a Non-Refundable registration fee to be determined by the University from time to time.
  • Proof of ability to pay the Annual Fees set by the University. This may be through certified sponsorship or other written proof.
  • Compliance with any other conditions that the University may deem appropriate.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS NEED FOR ADMISSION

For Applicants with ACSEE Awarded from NECTA

  1. Prepare a Recent Passport Size Photo taken within last 2 months (Soft Copy)
  2. Prepare a Scanned Birth Certificate for uploading to this system
  3. You will use your form IV Index number and Form VI Index number for verifications of your education results
  4. You are required to have a valid and working personal email address.

       For Applicants with Foreign Certificate (ACSEE Equivalent) Certificate –

  1. Prepare a Recent Passport Size Photo taken within last 2 months
  2. Prepare a Scanned Birth Certificate for uploading to this system
  3. Prepare a Scanned Education Certificate and a scanned ACSEE Equivalent Certificate
  4. You are required to have a valid and working personal email address.

For Applicants with Ordinary Diploma/ Equivalent to Ordinary Diploma (FTC & Others)

  1. Prepare a Recent Passport Size Photo taken within last 2 months
  2. Prepare a Scanned Birth Certificate for uploading to this system
  3. Applicant Verification Number (AVN) from NACTE Awards Verification System (Apply Here for AVN))
  4. You are required to have a valid and working personal email address.

Moshi Co-operative University, MoCU Application for International Students

Application procedures and fees for international applicants differ from those for Tanzanian students. International applicants also need to obtain a Tanzania Residence Permit. Please contact the relevant Faculty for details.
