Moi University Call for Applications: 2020 National Apprenticeship Program

The State Department for Post Training and Skills Development, in the Ministry of Education, is mandated under Executive Order No.1 of 2020, to promote skills development to fulfil the growing need in Kenya for quality and relevant skills across sectors and bridge the existing gap between the demand and supply of skills. The State Department for Post Training and Skills Development in collaboration with Rivatex East Africa Ltd, the Moi University facility for training, research, product development, extension and production, are pleased to announce a call for applications for the National Apprenticeship Program. Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to gain workplace learning skills in the textile industry in any of the following areas: Spinning, Weaving, Finishing, Tailoring, Textile Engineering. The duration of the apprenticeship programme is three (3) months.

Requirements for the programme

For admission to the programme, an applicant must:
i. Be aged between 18-35 years
ii. KCSE grade C or equivalent
iii. Craft Certificate or Diploma in Textiles

Apprenticeship duties

Interested candidates are requested to submit ONLINE an application letter indicating the textile skill required, CV (Curriculum Vitae), copies of academic certificates and a copy of the national ID/Passport to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Planning and Development, Moi
