This is a public national boys’ boarding secondary school located along the Kisumu- Busia road in Maseno, Kenya. It is one of the oldest secondary schools in Kenya. The school was established in 1906 by the Missionaries of the Church Missionary Society as a school for the children of the African chiefs. The first students were six sins of African chiefs and this attracted other youthful boys from Western Kenya.
The students were being taught reading and writing, printing, tailoring, carpentry, building, clerical work, and telegraphy. Close to the school are Maseno University and Maseno Mission Hospital. The school sits on the Equator and there is a portion of the school that is in the northern hemisphere and another in the southern hemisphere.

Notable alumni from the school include Barack Obama Snr, who was a senior governmental economist and the father of the former US president, Barack Obama, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, who was the first vice president of Kenya, Thomas Risley Odhiambo, who was a Kenyan entomologist and environmental activist who directed research and scientific development in Africa, Reuben J. olembo, who is an academic, geneticist, environmentalist and Former Deputy Executive Director of UNEP and Benjamin Ayimba, who is a Kenyan international rugby player and coach.

This high school is located along the Kisumu- Busia road in Kisumu West, Nyanza, Kenya. It is about 25km from Kisumu. You can comfortably see the Mabungo hills from the school.
