Admission Requirement

Be a holder of KCSE with a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) with at least C+(plus) in English and B- in Mathematics. OR Diploma in applied Sciences in which there has been a substantive mathematics content, with at least a credit pass in relevant subjects from an institution recognized by the University Senate.

The entry requirement is a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a scale of 4.00, or a degree awarded with First Class or an Upper Second Class Honours.

Those whose GPA is 2.5 or who have Lower Second Class Honours and a Higher Diploma with relevant experience may be considered if the degree or diploma is relevant to the field of study.

Fees Structure Kirinyaga University

Kirinyaga University admits Government Sponsored and Self Sponsored students.The fees for each category is different and it ranges between Ksh 30,000 to Ksh 300,000 per year.Below is the fees structure charged for government sponsored students.

HOW TO APPLY

Admission of candidates to Kirinyaga University for the degrees, diplomas, certificates or other awards shall be open to all persons without discrimination on race, ethnicity, place of origin, political opinion, color, creed, physical ability or gender.

The Application Forms are available from the Kirinyaga University website and are returned upon Payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs 1,500 for Degree courses and Kshs 1,000 for Diploma and Certificate Courses. Application fee can be deposited in the University account:
