The ministry of education has released the official revised 2020/2021 term dates for schools. This calendar is the latest revised calendar
2021 Pre-primary and primary schools terms dates
- 2021 KCPE: KCPE begins on 22 March 2021 and ends on 24th March 2021
Completing 2020 Calendar
This is applicable to PP 1, 2 and 3, Grade 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 pupils.
- 2021 Term 2 Holiday: From (20th March, 2021) to (9th May 2021) (7 weeks)
- Term 3: New Opening dates (10th May, 2021), Closing Dates (16th July 2021) (10 weeks) (Term three will have half term break of 3 days from (3rd June 2021 to 7th June 2021)
- Holiday: 17th July 2021 to 25th July, 2021 (1 week)
2021 Calendar
This calendar is applicable to all students in pre-primary and primary school pupils.
- Term 1: Opening Dates (26th July 2021), Closing dates (1st October 2021) (10 weeks) (There will be Half term break of 3 days from 26th August to 29th August 2021)
- Holiday: 2nd October 2021 to 10th October 2021 (1 week)
- Term 2: Opening dates (11th October 2021), closing dates (23dr December 2021) (11 weeks) (No half term break)
- Holiday: from 24th December 2021 to 2nd January 2022 (10 days)
- Term 3: Opening Dates (3rd January 2022), closing dates (4th March 2022) (9 weeks)
- Holiday: 5th Match 2022 to 24th April 2022 (7 weeks)

2021 School calendar highlight
- Schools will not have mid break or half term
- KCSE and KCPE exams will be on March of each year
- There will be a break of 7 weeks to allow candidates do their national exams.
