The Kenya Defence Force recruitment process

With a lot of corruption rumours tagged alongside securing Kenya Defence Forces jobs, the government, through the ministry of internal security, issued a clear communication as listed below:

  • Recruitment is free for all applicants
  • Bribery results in imprisonment
  • No one should fast-track the KDF shortlisting process
  • Any suspicious activity must be reported to the nearest police station or military camp

The 2021 KDF recruitment dates began from 12th February to 21st March. The process was undertaken every Monday to Friday before 6:00 pm.https://b509a2b4be91b94af52945c354aeb61b.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html

Announcement of successful candidates will be through the local dailies and other print media. After that, successful candidates will be issued with calling letters from their respective recruitment centres.

How to apply for KDF recruitment

KDF recruitment applications are done annually. Potential interests must await the ministry of internal security to announce enlistments dates. Once the communication is sent out, interested candidates are expected to select their preferred centre and make applications.
