Kenya Baptist Theological College was established to respond to the needs of theological education among Kenya Baptist Churches.

KBTC establishes and influences biblically healthy, spiritually-mature churches in Kenya and beyond and equips disciples of Jesus Christ to be local and global agents of change who make disciples of others, form churches, teach obedience to Christ and develop biblical leaders to the glory of God.

Courses Offered at KBTC

Diploma of Theology

The Diploma of Theology programme is designed to instruct students through word and deed that the Bible is not only useful for knowledge but also should be a transformative instrument in their lives and their communities. Through this programme, students will be exposed to the various methods of theological interpretation both current and historical in order to assist them to be able to sift through and correctly interpret and apply the Scriptures to the ever-increasing complexity of today’s world proficient practitioners of the ministry of the gospel.

The Curriculum

The Diploma in Theology programme is designed to assist students to relate acquired biblical exposition and apply it to one’s own personal life, ministry and associates. The ultimate aim of the curriculum is for students to implement the disciple-making task with competence in the fields of service in which God plants them. The Diploma in Theology consists of 88 credit hours covering courses in general education, Scripture and interpretation, theology and tradition, worldview and culture, ministry and proclamation, and evangelism and missions. Bachelors of Theology

KBTC offers a Bachelor of Theology in collaboration with Uganda Baptist Seminary. The format of the program is the same as that of the Diploma of Theology. The program is administered at KBTC and most of the courses are taught by KBTC faculty.
