Appointed as the Acting Knec CEO in 2016, Dr Karogo has stamped out cheating in exams and restored the credibility of our national KCSE and KCPE exams.
She took over from Dr. Fred Matiang’i who received accolade for eliminating exam leakages during national exams.
Dr. Karogo was appointed alongside the current cabinet secretary for Education Professor George Magoha who was then appointed as the council chair during Matiang’i reign.
The change in leadership at the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC comes at a time when the Education system is still grappling with a disrupted school calendar following the extended closure propagated by the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
