A passport is a document issued to Kenyan citizens by the Directorate of Immigration services and is valid for a maximum period of ten (10) years to enable them to travel abroad.

  1. Register for an e-citizen account
  2. Fill online application
  3. Scan and upload the required documents
  4. Pay prescribed fee
  5. Book appointment
  6. Print the duly completed application form and two invoices
  7. Attached copies of required documents
  8. Submission and bio-metrics (on the appointment date)

Requirements for replacement of passports

  • A duly filled application Form 19 and 2 payment invoices
  • Original national identity card and a copy for adults
  • Duly filled Consent Form for minors
  • Previous Passport and a copy
  • And any other additional documentation as may be required
  • Payment of the prescribed fee

Requirements for Lost passports

  • A duly filled application Form 19 and 2 payment invoices
  • Original ID and a copy for Adults
  • Personal Statement explaining circumstances for the damage
  • Sworn Affidavit to support (iii) above
  • Police Abstract for loss of passport
  • Copy of the lost passport bio-data page if available
  • Payment of the prescribed fee of Ksh.12,050.00

Requirements for Change of Names

In addition to the above requirements depending on the category
• Present a written explanation for the change of names addressed to the Passport Control Officer.
• Attach Supportive documents i.e deed poll plus the Kenya gazette notice, marriage certificate etc.
