HELB Offers Financial Support to Aspiring Nurses Pursuing Advanced Studies; How to Apply

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has announced the opening of the Advanced Nursing Education Fund to support the education of nursing professionals in Kenya.

The HELB encourages interested applicants to apply before the application deadline, which is set to be communicated soon.

The fund is open to applicants who have been admitted to study for advanced nursing courses in recognized universities or colleges. The application process is now open, and interested individuals can access the HELB website to apply.

How to Apply

According to the circular, applicants are required to visit the HELB website, www.helb.co.ke, to access the HELB Students’ Portal and create an account.

Applicants are required to use their personal mobile numbers to register and activate their accounts. Once the account is activated, applicants can log in and click on the Loan Application Tab on the left dashboard.

From the view window, they should select and fill in the led Foundation Advanced Nursing Education Fund.

In addition, applicants are required to read and agree to the Consent for the Collection and Processing of Personal Data. The next step is to access and fill out the application form(s) online.

Applicants should read, understand, and sign to accept the Terms and Conditions and Consent for the collection and Processing of Personal Data.

Applicants are also advised to ensure that the forms are appropriately filled, signed, and stamped by the relevant authorities.

A guide is provided on the last page of the form to assist applicants in filling the form correctly. After filling out the forms, applicants should print two copies of the duly filled Application Forms.

The circular also requires applicants to scan the duly filled application form(s) and all the attached supporting documents in a clear and continuous pdf copy and email them to jielimishe@helb.co.ke.

Applicants are also required to retain a copy of the duly filled and signed Application Form, as this is a mandatory requirement.

The Advanced Nursing Education Fund is expected to benefit many nursing professionals in Kenya who wish to advance their education in the nursing field.
