Reinsurance offering
We are a composite reinsurer offering capacity and services across the full spectrum of non-life and life business lines. Our clients enjoy unparalleled reinsurance underwriting, claims, advisory and training services.
Continental Reinsurance writes business across more than 50 African countries, which are serviced from our six client service centres in Nigeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Tunisia and Botswana. With a diversified and profitable portfolio, we offer our clients a product of indisputable value underpinned by our uncompromising service and technical capability, and supported by first class retrocession security. We offer both Treaty and Facultative capacity across a full range of insurance lines.
Advisory services
At Continental Reinsurance we seek to complement the first class treaty and facultative capacity we deliver with the provision of innovative solutions in all classes of business to our customers.
In addition to standard reinsurance services, we also provide specialist skills development programmes as follows:

Sector expertise
Our subsidiary CPERS provides engineering risk analysis and training for insurance and reinsurance companies across Africa.
Continental Reinsurance develops solutions that support our clients along different sectors: fire & engineering, general accident, life, energy, marine & aviation and motor & liability.
As part of its strategic plans, Continental Reinsurance established another subsidiary, Continental Property and Engineering Risk Services (CPERS) Limited in South Africa in 2015. The new subsidiary essentially operates as a technical ‘referral’ competence within Continental Reinsurance.
