Conservancy north of Nairobi: 2020 Accounts Payable Accountant Job
Conservancy north of Nairobi is looking for a qualified Accounts Payable Accountant. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ CPA-K/ ACCA and willing to work in Nanyuki. He/She will be responsible for accurate and effective management of accounts payable ledgers in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain creditors book inclusive posting of invoices, credit notes, allocation of receipts etc.
- Preparation of monthly age analysis & ensure reconciliation of creditor’s statements with ledger.
- Conduct appropriate written and telephonic correspondence and follow-ups with creditors
- Preparation of payments on basis of due suppliers & getting approval from HOU/CFO for go ahead.
- Follow up for creditor statements, missing invoices & credit notes from suppliers.
- Reconciliation of all intercompany creditor’s accounts.
- Annual audit preparation.
- Maintain a proficient filing system for account payable records.
Qualification:
- Must have a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) / CPA (K) or ACCA.
- Must have above 3 years’ experience in a busy working environment.
- Good understanding of IFRS, local tax regulations and statutory financial accounting and reporting
- Must be detailed oriented and possess good communication skills.
- Good knowledge of relevant accounting systems and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Sunsystems and Pay master will be an added advantage.
