How long do microbladed brows last?
Microbladed brows should last between 1-3 years, but will gradually fade over time. A touch-up is often required 4-8 weeks after the initial treatment.
How do I maintain my eyebrows after microblading?
The healing process takes up to 14 days. During this time, you should blot your brows with a soft cloth or cotton wool and avoid getting them wet, which could cause the ink to fade.
Your microblading therapist may advise you to apply a fast-drying barrier cream – like Vaseline – over your brows to help protect the area from drying and to promote healing.
How much does microblading cost?
In Nairobi, expect to spend anywhere from KES 30,000 to KES 30,000 on a microblading treatment, with an average cost of KES 30,000.
Can you remove microblading?
Microblading is technically a tattoo, but not one that lasts forever because the ink isn’t implanted as deeply as regular skin tattoos. As a result, the ink will fade over time.
If you’d prefer not to wait for your brows to completely fade back to their normal state, microblading can be removed using a course of picosecond laser treatments. Always seek a professional to carry this out.
Is microblading painful?
Microblading can cause mild discomfort. If your therapist applies numbing cream before the procedure (most therapists do), it will considerably reduce any discomfort.
Do your eyebrows get shaved for microblading?
No. Microblading does not require eyebrows to be shaved before treatment begins.
