Auto Care and Manufacturing Company: 2020 Production / Quality Manager Latest Job Vacancy
Auto care and manufacturing Company is looking to fill the position Production/Quality Manager. The successful candidate MUST have at least 3 years managerial work experience in production and quality control with good hands on knowledge of metal fabrication, vehicle parts fitment, vehicles conversion, welding, CKD assembly, spray painting/powder coating and blasting, ROPs and other fabricated accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Director for generation of bill of materials (BOM) for new jobs.
- Oversee generation of job orders and scheduling of jobs in production sections.
- Set daily tasks targets for each section and ensure achievement of the same.
- Coordinate with stores section stocks requirements for jobs execution.
- In liaison with the HR department and Production Director, raise staff disciplinary matters.
- Review staff performance daily and participate in scheduled performance appraisal for subordinates.
- Ensure health and safety requirements in the workshop are adhered to.
- Ensure equipment are well maintained & undertake quarterly tools audits.
- Implement company policies, procedures, processes and practices.
- Review the quality management policy every year.
- Develop Standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each stage of production.
- Sample items during production using quality check sheets for each production section.
- Promptly raise quality issues with the Management to be addressed.
- Involved in investigation of production re-works, products rejections, customers complaints.
- Develop corrective action plans with the Director and oversee its implementation.
- Sign off all goods produced by the company as “quality assured” before they are stored/dispatched.
- Maintain soft and hard copies gallery of prototypes done.
- Highlight to employee’s quality control points for each production section.
- Enforce any other quality control system that may be introduced by the management.

Qualification:
- Must have a Diploma in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
- Must have over 3 years managerial work experience in production and quality control.
- Must have hands on knowledge of metal fabrication, vehicle parts fitment, vehicles conversion
- Knowledge on continuous improvement processes such as Kaizen.
- Ability to interpret drawings and jobs briefs.
- Able to operate the plasma machine and make items to specifications.
- Proficiency using production module on an ERP system and Autocad software.
- Good people management skills with ability to motivate individuals and teams.
- Good communicator, able to give feedback and enable upward/downward communication.
- Ability to meet deadlines with timely updates on progress.
