Application for Kenya Presidential Secondary Schools Bursary

PRESIDENTIAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS BURSARY: HOW TO APPLY FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS BURSARY(PSSB) FOR 250 MARKS KCPE 2021 CANDIDATES

THE PRESIDENTIAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS BURSARY FOR KCPE (PSSB FOR KCPE FOR 2021)

Following the reporting of form ones to their various Secondary Schools, the Government is inviting Kenya Certificate of Primary Education( KCPE) 2021 Candidates who attained 250 marks and over to consider applying for the aforementioned bursary from the government.

Students who will qualify to benefit from this bursary will get a total sum of Kshs. 30,000 per year.

Needy students are requested to apply for the Presidential Secondary Schools Bursary (PSSB). It is important to note that this scheme was commenced in the year 2013/2014 to support orphans and the vulnerable children in Secondary School.

The main objective of this government scheme is to contribute towards complying with the legal requirement as stipulated clearly in the Children’s Act 2001 section 7(1), and as a complementary service to the Cash Transfer-OVC Programme.

THE PRESIDENTIAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS BURSARY FOR KCPE (PSSB FOR KCPE FOR 2021)

With the MOE ( Ministry of Education’s) clarion call and 100% transition to form one enrollment, this bursary scheme is meant to enhance Secondary School Enrollment, attendance, and completion by orphans and vulnerable children in the country.

This presidential Secondary Schools Bursary(PSSB) Scheme is administered by the Children Department Head Quarter and in all constituencies in the country.

The following are the mandatory requirements for one to apply for this bursary:

a. 250 marks & above

b. Total orphan

c. Birth certificate for applicant

d. Death certificate for both parents

e. Calling letter to Secondary School

f. Fee structure

g. Public Secondary School (Boarding)
