Introduction

SACRED Training Institute (STI) was established in 2005 to offer high quality training for school leavers and working class people that need practical skills to advance their careers. STI is registered with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, KNEC and KASNEB as a training institute and examination centre. Since its inception STI has collaborated with Moi University to offer practical training to catalyse both rural and urban development.

The institution currently has four campuses: Siritanyi (Bungoma), Malaba (Teso), Golf Course and City Centre Campuses (both in Nairobi). The Bungoma Campus is located at Siritanyi along Bungoma – Malaba road, 1.5 km from Kanduyi junction. The Nairobi Campuses are located along Mucai Drive off Ngong road and in Veteran house 7th floor, near Bazaar Plaza, Moi Avenue.

STI has a qualified, disciplined and experienced teaching and support staff of 34. In Bungoma it is situated in a serene environment conducive for learning with a modern library, hostels and internet facilities. Students learn through lectures, practicals, academic tours and field exposures, research and seminar presentations. The curricula, examinations and the lecturers are approved by Moi University. On graduation the student can enrol in a relevant degree programme at Moi University or any other university. Over 1000 students have graduated from STI since 2006 and are currently enrolled in various undergraduate programmes at various local and international universities. SACRED Training Institute also offers courses examined by KNEC, KASNEB and other bodies.

The courses offered at the Institute are geared towards producing professionals and personnel who will respond to the enormous development challenges that face Africa today in the areas of food security, sustainable livelihoods, management, entrepreneurship, public administration, environment and development.
