2021 KCSE Certificates Are Out How & Where to Collect Them
On May 2nd, the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) made an announcement stating that all candidates who took the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam are now able to collect their certificates from their respective schools.
“Students are advised to collect the certificates from their respective schools,” the notice from the examination body read in part.
Additionally, candidates who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in the same year were also directed to collect their certificates from their schools. The examination council indicated that all the certificates had been delivered to the schools and urged the students to collect them as soon as possible.
KNEC also provided a directive on how to file complaints and queries regarding non-conformity with results and other errors. The examination body emphasized that students could submit their responses through its website, www.knec.ac.ke, by selecting the Query Management Information System (QMIS) section.
This will allow KNEC to address any inconsistencies on the KCPE and KCSE certificates. In the 2021 academic year, there were 1,225,693 candidates who took the KCPE exams and 831,026 candidates who sat for the KCSE exams.
Magata Bruce was the top-performing student in KCPE exams, scoring 428 marks, while Jeriel Ndeda Odero was the best KCSE student with an A grade of 87.16 points.
This announcement comes two months after KNEC released a list of 4,700 individuals who had not collected their certificates dating back to 2001. KNEC advised those affected to liaise with their respective schools and education offices to collect their certificates.
The examination council also urged the affected customers to bring their faulty certificates to enable them to collect the new ones.
“Customers whose names are on the list should carry their faulty certificates to enable them to collect the new ones,” KNEC announced.
