Our Hiring Process

Komaza is seeking driven, top-performing talent to lead our vision of establishing Africa’s largest forestry company in partnership with smallholder farmers.

We have designed a unique, rigorous process to see if there’s a great match. Past applicants have reported that this process is longer and more time-intensive than other companies’, but in exchange for that time, they get deep exposure to imagine and evaluate what it would be like to work with the Komaza team in this new role.

We have found that this process has had a huge positive impact on our team, and has increased both promotion and retention rates of selected candidates. But it’s not for everyone – we recognize there are fantastic contributors out there that might not have time to join us in this journey. Please review the below. We have a strong preference for CVs that are 1 page or less, representing only the top experiences that are most relevant to the role you are applying for, rather than a comprehensive list of your entire professional history.

Please note, we often received hundreds – and sometimes thousands – of CVs for each role, and have been consistently impressed with level and breadth of talent who apply. Unfortunately, only a handful of candidates can be selected, so we are often unable to proceed candidates that have great work experience.
