APPLICATIONS FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES – JANUARY 2019 INTAKE

Applications are invited from qualified applicants for the following programmes which will be offered in various campuses underFull – Time, Part – Time (Evening &Weekend) and Digital School of Virtual Learning (DSVOL) Mode of Study beginning January, 2019 at Main, City, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kitui, Kericho and Embu Campuses.

     Minimum Entry Requirements

Certificate Programmes              – Minimum Mean grade C- (Minus) at KCSE or its equivalent.
Diploma Programmes                  – Minimum Mean grade C (Plain) at KCSE or its equivalent.
Bachelors Degree Programmes – Minimum Mean grade C+ (Plus) at KCSE or its equivalent..
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes – Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least Second Class Honors (Upper Division) or equivalent from Kenyatta University or any other recognized Institution OR Bachelor’s Degree with Second Class (Lower Division) or its equivalent with at least two years of relevant work experience.
Master Programmes – Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least Second Class Honors (Upper Division) or equivalent from Kenyatta University or any other recognized Institution ORBachelor’s Degree with Second Class (Lower Division) or its equivalent with at least two years of relevant work experience.
Doctor of Philosophy Programmes – Master’s degree in relevant area of study from Kenyatta University or any other recognized institution.

MODE OF APPLICATION

  1. GUIDELINE FOR ONLINE APPLICATION.

Application for admission into the programme can be done online by a simple click http://applications.ku.ac.ke All you need is:

  • Proof of payment, either an MPESA reference number or Bank deposit slip.
  • Ensure you have met the eligibility criteria for the selected program.
  • Academic Transcripts and Certificates.
  • Passport photo.
  • Identification documents, either a National Identity Card or Passport.
  1. Application forms can be obtained from Kenyatta University, Admissions Block, Office No. 12 or at the Regional Centers based inNairobi, Embu, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kericho, Kisumu and Garissa or be downloaded from our website. Applicants shall pay non-refundable processing fee of Ksh.2,000/= for East Africans and Kshs.4,000/= for non-East Africans through Bank deposit into any of the following bank accounts:

Duly completed forms should be returned to the Registrar (Academic), Kenyatta University P.O. Box 43844 – 00100, NAIROBI, KENYA or any of our Regional Centres. Copies of relevant professional and academic certificates and transcripts,Two (2) I’x1’ passport size photos and original application fee receiptMUST be attached to the application form.

(NB: “O” Level Certificate must be attached: Those with Grade C (Plain) at K.C.S.E must have a Diploma and those with C- (Minus) must have a Certificate and a Diploma)
