Cytonn Investments is an alternative investment manager, with real estate development capability, and a primary focus on private equity and real estate investments in the high growth Kenyan Region. Cytonn has a unique strategy of coupling two compelling demand areas – the lack of high yielding investment products due to the large banking spread, and the lack of institutional grade real estate; by providing high yielding instruments to attract funding from investors, and we deploy that funding to investment grade, well planned and comprehensive real estate developments that are largely pre-sold. With offices in Nairobi, Nakuru, Nyeri and Kisumu – Kenya and Washington, DC – USA, we are primarily focused on offering alternative investment solutions to global and local institutional investors, individual high net-worth investors, and diaspora investors interested in the East-African region.

Real estate investments are made through our development affiliate, Cytonn Real Estate, where we currently have over Kshs. 82 billion (USD 820 mn) of projects under mandate across ten projects. In private equity, we invest in banking, education, and hospitality. Our financial services investments in Sub Saharan Africa are made through our Cytonn Africa Financial Fund (CAFF). Investments in education and hospitality are made through Cytonn Education Services and Cytonn Hospitality, respectively.

We are looking for an Information Systems Engineer to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware, and networks. An ideal candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. He/she should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Your goal will be to ensure that our information system infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently as per the set standards.    

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Deploy, manage and administer, HPE Servers, ESXi hosts, vCenter Servers, Virtual Machine Infrastructure and monitor performance as well as the perform regular healthy checks on back-ups.
  2. Administration and Management of NetApp ONTAP Storage Appliances.
  3. Primary Support Contact and administration of SAP Business One on HANA ERP System
  4. Deployment, Configuration and Management of Core Enterprise Systems, Applications and User security policy Management.
  5. Manage company File Share assess storage and virtualisation environments and make recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
  6. Identification and Addressing of risks to system availability, performance, reliability and security in regards to servers, storage and data.
  7. Design, configure, manage, and maintain network and networks services for existing devices and new devices, to facilitate efficient wired and wireless network setup and perform L2 switching and L3 routing in the Cytonn Network.
  8. Network Deployment and availability monitoring
  9. Manage and administer Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Processes.
  10. Provide end user support, identifying root cause with strategic, fast and efficient solutions to problems.
  11. Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  12. Deployment and Administration of Security services in information systems and infrastructure and ensure 100% compliance with the set security standards.
  13. Develop and grow capacity in IT Information Systems.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology/Computer Science or any other IT related discipline.
  2. Must have at least 2 years’ experience on advanced administration of Windows Server 2012 R2, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP and Linux Servers.
  3. Certification on VMware and vSphere 6.5 will be an added advantage.
  4. Certification in Linux Server Administration.
  5. At least 2 years experience in managing and administering SAP Business One on HANA.
  6. Must have CCNA Certification, CCNP will be an added advantage.
  7. Must possess knowledge in managing NetApp Storage and Active hypervisor Environments.
  8. Experience working in a Datacentre environment will be an added advantage.
  9. Creating volumes, assigning to servers and remote replication
  10. Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  11. Should possess knowledge in managing group policies on Active directory.
  12. A grade of B+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent)
